Land-Sea Synergy, Connecting Global Supply Chains—2026 Qingdao International Logistics Exhibition Concludes Successfully

2026-04-06

In 2026, Qingdao hosted two major events for the logistics and supply chain industry in quick succession: the 2026 International Logistics and Supply Chain Expo (Qingdao) took place at the Qingdao International Convention Center (Laoshan Venue) from March 31 to April 2, followed by the 5th China (Qingdao) International Logistics Expo at the same venue on June 4–5. Together, these two exhibitions attracted over 800 domestic and international exhibitors and nearly 50,000 visits from industry professionals, serving as a high-density platform for resource matchmaking within the logistics and supply chain sector of Northern China.

As a pivotal hub connecting Northeast Asia with the Eurasian landmass, Qingdao leverages its strengths in ports, railways, aviation, cross-border e-commerce, and overseas warehouse networks to provide a comprehensive "sea-land-air-rail" showcase for the industry. The exhibition covers core sectors such as international freight forwarding, port and shipping operations, China-Europe freight trains and cross-border road transport, multimodal transport, specialized logistics, overseas warehousing and customs clearance, as well as smart logistics and supply chain digitalization. Participants range from leading port, shipping, and freight train platform operators to overseas agents, warehousing service providers, foreign trade shippers, and logistics technology enterprises.

The event goes beyond mere "showcasing" to prioritize "closing deals": exhibitors rapidly connect with route resources and overseas hubs; cargo owners compare capacity and pricing; overseas agents seek Chinese partners; and digital service providers align with warehousing, distribution, and customs operations. Concurrent forums address topics such as specialized transport, project logistics, port and shipping operations, dedicated global routes, and AI-driven supply chain control towers. A clear industry consensus has emerged: logistics competition is shifting from the mere availability of routes to the quality of cost, speed, compliance, and resilience.

The recent conclusion of two logistics exhibitions in Qingdao signals new trends in the northern international logistics market: multimodal transport is achieving greater synergy, cross-border e-commerce supply chains are extending to end-to-end operations, overseas last-mile capabilities are becoming a core competitive advantage, and digitalization is shifting from an "optional extra" to essential infrastructure.

Where land and sea converge, global supply chains are set in motion. Although the exhibition has concluded, Qingdao continues to demonstrate its pivotal role as a hub for international shipping and supply chains. Stakeholders across the industry will deepen collaboration at key nodes, linking more cargo, shipping routes, and services to forge a global logistics network that is both more efficient and more resilient.
